Our obligations to you
Before entering a credit contract with you, we must assess that the contract is not unsuitable for you. This includes making reasonable inquiries about your requirements, objectives and financial situation, and taking reasonable steps to verify that information.
You can request a copy of our assessment free of charge. If you ask before entering the contract, we'll give it to you before you enter it. If you ask within two years of the contract date, we'll provide it within 7 business days; if you ask between two and seven years after that date, within 21 business days.
Fees, charges and commissions
The fees and charges that apply to a loan (such as any establishment fee, monthly account fee, or default-related costs) are set out in your loan contract and quoted to you before you accept, so you can consider them alongside the rate and repayments. We do not charge you a fee to apply or to receive a loan offer. If we ever pay or receive a commission in connection with your loan (for example, to a referrer who introduced you), the existence and nature of that arrangement will be disclosed to you before you enter the contract.
If something goes wrong
If you have a complaint, contact us first. Our internal dispute resolution process is free and we aim to resolve complaints promptly. See complaints & disputes for the full process.
If we can't resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may contact the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA), a free and independent external dispute resolution scheme:
